The Mountain Top Experience Podcast is going beyond the podcast with our latest blog post reflecting on some of recent podcast episodes. Please note: there is no podcast with this blog post, but we welcome you to re-listen to the episodes we are reflecting on in this post that have been linked.
The mission of Laurel Mountain Ministries stays clear. We create space for people to encounter God, rest in the Spirit, grow in faith, and live it out in real life.
Now The Mountain Top Experience Podcast carries that mission far beyond the mountain.
What started as a simple conversation has become a steady voice that speaks about real situations. Each week, listeners hear stories of faith, struggle, growth, and change. These are not polished testimonies shaped after everything worked out. These are honest conversations from people who walk through life and see God at work along the way.
The podcast is hosted by Kevin Ostromecki, Carlos DeJesus, and David Johnson. Each brings a different perspective, but they move in the same direction. They help listeners connect faith to everyday life in a way that makes sense.
A new episode drops each week. That consistency keeps the conversation current and grounded in what people face right now.
Episode 30: Freddie Nole and a Story That Keeps Moving
One of the most popular episodes so far is Episode 30 – 49 Years Behind Bars – Faith Without Works Ain’t Nothin’.
Freddie Nole spent decades behind bars. Fortunately, his story did not end there. It touches others and shows what happens when faith moves past words to shape the lives of others.
His story continues to reach new places. Freddie’s life is now the subject of a biographical film, The Second Life of Freddie Nole, produced and directed by Dana Nachman. Dana uses Freddie’s podcast episode as part of the film’s social media promotion, which says a lot about the impact of that conversation.

Episode 46: Tracy Harper Gains National Attention
Episode 46, Validation Junkie, features author Tracy Harper.
Her book has been nominated for a Shelah Award for Best Teen Book. The award will be announced on May 28, 2026, at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference. That recognition reflects what happens when someone tells the truth about their journey.
