Painted with Purpose: A Women’s Morning of Worship, Word, and Art is a special gathering at Laurel Mountain Ministries that brings together creativity and spiritual renewal in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9:30 am to approximately 12:30 pm, this event invites women to pause, worship, reflect, and create together.

For many women, Saturday mornings are filled with responsibilities and activity. Painted with Purpose offers something different. It provides intentional space to slow down and focus on what nourishes the heart. The morning begins with a continental breakfast, allowing time for conversation and connection before the program begins. This unhurried start sets the tone for the rest of the event.
Following breakfast, participants will enter a time of worship and devotional reflection. The worship portion centers the morning on God’s presence, while the devotional message offers encouragement rooted in Scripture. Together, these moments prepare the heart for what comes next.
The distinctive feature of Painted with Purpose is the guided painting experience. Every woman who attends will create a faith-based work of art during the event. No prior painting experience is required. The emphasis is not on technical skill but on participation, expression, and reflection. All painting supplies will be provided, including canvas, brushes, and paints. Participants simply arrive ready to engage.
The devotional message will be shared by Afnan Lieb. Afnan brings a heart for spiritual freedom, identity in Christ, and transformation through God’s presence. Her life journey and ministry have shaped a message that encourages women to understand their value and purpose through the love of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Afnan serves in ministry locally and beyond, speaking and teaching with a focus on healing, restoration, and connection to God’s heart. Her devotional for this event will help frame the creative experience within a deeper spiritual perspective.
The painting session will be led by Carrie Kingsbury. Carrie is a professional mural painter with many years of experience, including creating art during worship gatherings and ministry events throughout the region. She is known for guiding participants step by step, making the process approachable and enjoyable for beginners and experienced painters alike.
Carrie’s instruction is gentle and encouraging. She understands that for many people, picking up a paintbrush can feel intimidating. Her goal is to help each participant feel comfortable and capable while creating something meaningful.
Those interested in learning more about Carrie’s heart for art and worship can listen to her conversation on The Mountain Experience Podcast, the official audio ministry of Laurel Mountain Ministries.
The cost for Painted with Purpose is $30.00. This includes the continental breakfast, worship and devotional time, and all painting materials. Reservations are required by February 25, 2026. To reserve a place, participants may call (484) 877-2567.
Painted with Purpose is not simply an art class. It is an opportunity to experience community, creativity, and spiritual encouragement in one setting. By the end of the morning, each woman will leave with a completed painting, shared memories, and, we hope, renewed encouragement for the season ahead.
Laurel Mountain Ministries continues to create spaces where faith is lived out in tangible and meaningful ways. Painted with Purpose reflects that vision by bringing worship and creativity together in a way that is accessible, thoughtful, and welcoming to all.
