The Chapel
Serving Beyond the Walls
Laurel Mountain Ministries began as a storefront church on Fairhill Street in post-World War II Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During the late 1940s and early 1950s, the children attending the church played on the busy street, dodging streetcars and automobiles.
Weddings on the Mountain
Imagine saying, “I do,” in a charming, historic country chapel surrounded by a hundred of your closest family and friends. Now picture, reciting your sacred vows at the foot of the cross affirming your love and faith together as a newly joined couple. If this describes your dream ceremony, then a Wedding on the Mountain is perfect for you.
Set on approximately thirty acres near the village of Greshville, Berks County, Pennsylvania, where at every turn the Laurel Mountain Ministries Campus uniquely displays nature’s beauty. Photo opportunities abound on the mountain’s rolling hills, lush stands of trees, and its peaceful prayer garden.
A Wedding on the Mountain is truly a memory in the making.
The Chapel
Laurel Mountain Ministries offers a variety of venues all designed to make your special day a treasured memory. The campus chapel is by far the favorite of most couples. It combines country charm with traditional intimacy. Visualize yourself walking down its hardwood aisle, smiling as you pass your guests seated comfortably on the handcrafted oak pews while your wedding party waits at the beautifully decorated altar.
Craft your ceremony any way you wish. After all, it’s your big day.
Recreation on the Mountain
There is always something to do on the Mountain. You can picnic and play games. Here are some of the things you can do.
Picnicking
It’s always fun to picnic. Free picnicking is available most days. The Laurel Mountain Ministries Campus has a pavilion to picnic under and, also has tables scattered among the groves of trees for your relaxation.
Sports
Disc Golf is a popular family sport and we maintain a nine-hole course on the Mountain. We also recently restored the volleyball court near the picnic area. Groups can play for fun while they picnic.
Photography
Photo opportunities abound on the Mountain. Arrive early and grab a candid of the wild turkeys in the parking lot. Sit quietly at dusk and watch the white-tailed deer romp in the fields. It’s all up to you.
