An Invitation to Be Baptized on Holy Ground
Join us on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM for a special Water Baptism on the Mountain, a public declaration of faith held in the peaceful, prayer-soaked setting of Laurel Mountain Ministries. Whether you’re being baptized or coming to support someone who is, this will be a moment of eternal significance.
We’ll gather at our striking cross-shaped baptismal pool, surrounded by God’s creation and a community of believers, to witness lives being transformed by the love of Christ. This is more than a ceremony—it’s a testimony to resurrection power and the goodness of God.
Why Baptism?
Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized, not as a formality, but as a visible witness of an invisible transformation. Baptism does not save, but it boldly declares what has already taken place in the heart: repentance, faith, and new life in Christ.
At Laurel Mountain, we baptize by immersion—believing this best represents the biblical model. As participants go under the water, they identify with Jesus’ death and burial; as they rise again, they testify to His resurrection and their own rebirth. It is a picture of grace, a step of obedience, and a beautiful act of worship.
What to Expect and How to Prepare
If you feel led to be baptized, we invite you to prepare your heart and register in advance. On the day of the event, please arrive by 12:45 PM at the pavilion for orientation and prayer. Wear modest swimwear under clothes you don’t mind getting wet, and bring a towel and a change of clothes.
We’ve created a helpful guide for spiritual and practical preparation. Visit our Water Baptism Page to read FAQs and find everything you need to take this next step with confidence.
A Celebration of Faith and Family
Water Baptism on the Mountain is open to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ—whether you’re part of a church group or coming as an individual. You’ll be surrounded by fellow believers, family, and friends, cheering you on as you take this sacred step.
Even if you’re not being baptized, we invite you to come witness what God is doing. It’s a day of rejoicing and renewal that will bless everyone present.
