Worship on the Mountain

Saturday, September 18th is an exciting day for the local Faith Community. On that day, Laurel Mountain Ministries presents “WORSHIP ON THE MOUNTAIN.” Beginning at 1:00 pm, worship music performed by live bands such as the Heaven’s Thunder Band and the Freedom Worship Band will echo off the surrounding mountains. Hands and voices will be raised with those of the bands, while others can simply listen and bask in the presence of the Lord. The FREE EVENT is not affiliated with any church. So, feel free to attend and bring your friends who love worship music and praising the Lord.

While the bands play, the Laurel Mountain Baptismal Pool will be available for baptisms. The unique in-ground baptismal pool is cross-shaped and is extensively landscaped to provide memorable and life-changing experiences. Pastors may bring groups or individuals for baptism. You won’t go hungry on the mountain. Festival food will be available with the Salvation Army Food Truck as the featured food station. The proceeds from that truck help those in need from the immediate community. At the Salvation Army Truck, you can eat well and help the community at the same time. Be sure you also look for the coffee shop tent and the desert trucks. The event is family-friendly. Picnic tables and the pavilion are available.

It’s easy to find a place to pray on the Mountain. The Laurel Mountain Prayer Garden should  be a beautiful place to meet God in September or, if you wish, kneel at the foot of Calvary’s Crosses on the Mountain making your “petitions known to God.”

We also expect prayer partners to be on duty in the renovated Chapel to pray for the immediate needs of those attending. We invite you to join us as one of the prayer partners. Let Gail know that you are “prayed up” and want to help minister. You are needed.
