Family Rock Painting Picnic & Movie Night
Laurel Mountain Ministries invites families to join us for an afternoon and evening of creativity, fellowship, food, and fun at our Family Rock Painting Picnic & Movie Night on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
This special summer event brings together families of all ages for a relaxed day on the mountain featuring rock painting, a picnic dinner, outdoor activities, and a family movie under the stars. Whether you come for the painting, the fellowship, the food, or the movie, this event creates space for families to enjoy time together in a welcoming Christian environment.
The afternoon begins with in the pavilion. Participants will have the opportunity to paint creative and encouraging designs on rocks while enjoying a short devotional focused on faith, family, and encouragement. The activity welcomes both children and adults, and no artistic experience is needed.
Following the painting event, families will enjoy a picnic featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, and salad. The relaxed outdoor setting creates opportunities for conversation, fellowship, and time together on the mountain.
Throughout the evening, guests may also enjoy many of Laurel Mountain Ministries’ outdoor facilities. The playground, sand volleyball court, disc golf course, and Promise Path will all remain open during the event.
As the sun sets, the evening concludes with a Movie on the Mountain, shown outdoors after dark. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a summer movie night together under the open sky.
Laurel Mountain Ministries continues to host family-centered events designed to encourage fellowship, faith, and meaningful connection in a peaceful mountain setting. Events like this provide opportunities for families to slow down, spend time together, and build memories in a positive and welcoming environment.
