SUMMARY:SonRise Over Laurel Mountain - Easter Sunrise Service
DESCRIPTION:SONRISE OVER LAUREL MOUNTAIN 2025: AN OUTDOOR COMMUNITY EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE\nAt 7:00 a.m. on Sunday\, April 20\, 2025\, members of Berks and Montgomery Counties’ community will gather outdoors\, under an empty cross for Sonrise Over Laurel Mountain\, Easter Sunrise Service to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Every year worshipers of all ages\, races\, and backgrounds gather in unity to celebrate\, worship\, and pray as the sun peeks over the nearby hills. \nThe interdenominational Easter Sunrise Service is an annual event\, now in its fifth year\, is hosted by Laurel Mountain Ministries of Boyertown\, Pennsylvania. The outdoor service\, originally organized as a way for the community to safely worship together in the aftermath of the COVID Pandemic\, grew into an exciting annual event drawing worshippers from as far away as Reading and Souderton. \nThe service is held rain or shine. If the weather threatens the musical instruments or if they can’t be kept in tune because of temperature\, the musical worship will be held in the campus chapel. At its conclusion\, attendees walk across the lawn and gather under the empty Crosses of Calvary on Laurel Mountain for the message. \n \nThis year\, Chaplain Mark Malizzi\, Laurel Mountain Ministries’ Director of Ministries is the featured speaker. When asked about the theme of the service\, Chaplain Mark stated that his focus will be directly from the scripture\, “Why seek the living among the dead.” \nAgain this year\, Heaven’s Thunder Band\, a 2025 nominee for Best Christian Artist/Band by the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards\, will lead the contemporary early morning worship on the Mountain. The team spokesman told us that they “always enjoys participating in special moments on the Mountain\, especially when the Holy Spirit meets us personally.” \nLaurel Mountain Ministries invites you to celebrate resurrection with us. Worship with the community. Be inspired by the Word of God. And\, enjoy the spectacular view of the Easter sun rising over the Mountain. \nFREE BREAKFAST\nAfter SonRise Over Laurel Mountain ends at 8:00 a.m. A free breakfast is provided so that attendees can timely participate in the Easter festivities at their home church.
