The Ladder and the Limp: Ten Lessons from Jacob’s Road from Striving to Surrender will meet on ten consecutive Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the campus conference room at Laurel Mountain Ministries.. \nThe study centers on the life of Jacob as recorded in Genesis 25–35\, tracing his long movement from striving and self-reliance toward surrender and trust in God. Jacob’s story resonates with believers who recognize seasons of waiting and uncertainty and who desire to grow in faith while navigating those challenges. Through close engagement with Scripture\, participants will explore how God meets His people in ordinary places and difficult circumstances\, shaping character over time. \nEach session focuses on a significant moment in Jacob’s life\, beginning “Before the Ladder” at Bethel and moving toward the night of wrestling that left him permanently changed “After the Limp”.The study highlights God’s faithfulness across seasons and invites reflection striving and surrender that often precede spiritual transformation. \nAbout the Presenter\nGail Johnson is widely known within the Laurel Mountain community for her thoughtful\, Scripture-centered teaching. She brings extensive experience leading adult Bible studies\, and a deep commitment to helping others understand God’s Word. \nThis Bible study is open to adults of all ages. It’s appropriate for those seeking spiritual growth\, renewed perspective\, or deeper biblical understanding.
