It doesn’t take much to change a life.” The Salvation Army Boyertown Corps has been serving since 1994. The corps has many social service programs including a food pantry\, daily lunch program\, rent and utility assistance\, Back to School help\, toys and clothes for children at Christmas\, and Christmas Food Baskets. Our emergency disaster services include help following floods\, fires\, and other natural disasters. \n \nThe corps also serves children and youth through Monday Red Shield Music Acadamy\, Wednesday DMZ Jr. kids programs\, Summer Day Camp\, Camp Ladore and other camp trips. We have a chapel on site that offers church worship services\, Bible Study/Sunday school\, vacation Bible school\, and adult fellowship retreats. We also have nursing home visitations. Tthe initial goal was to provide social services of its own in addition to providing area residents with information and referral services to other social service agencies serving the Boyertown area. \nThe Senior Neighborhood Center of Boyertown Area Multi-Service began in February of 1975 and today is an even more part of the community. It was renamed “The Center at Spring Street” in 2004 to reflect it’s  new location. In 2022\, the Center continues to meet the changing needs of the area’s older population. \nMeals on Wheels was the first program we offered at the agency. With eight volunteers\, Multi-Service began delivering hot meals to the homebound elderly. Today\, the more than 150 volunteers over 100 mile every day to deliver more than 13\,000 meals annually. \nA community food pantry program soon followed. Designed to assist those experiencing financial difficulties\, the Multi-Service pantry is operationed daily by appointment. And the number continues to grow by this day. \nBlankets of Hope\, Inc. (BOH) was founded by Marc Goldstein in December of 2011 upon reading an article in the local newspaper citing the level of poverty in the City of Reading\, and also an uplifting piece on a Secret Santa gifting money to those less fortunate. The third puzzle piece came when one of Goldstein’s customers bought a blanket as an employee holiday gift. The three triggers were food for thought: how could Goldstein\, as a small business owner at that time\, help the community? \nAfter reaching out to various Berks agencies\, Goldstein connected with Sharon Parker of the Berks Coalition to End Homelessness. From there\, Parker linked him to five Berks shelters\, the originating recipients of Blankets of Hope: Opportunity House\, Hope Rescue Mission\, Mary’s Shelter\, YMCA of Reading & Berks County and Berks Counseling Center. \nIn January of 2012\, BOH became a nonprofit corporation & in 2014\, BOH received its 501(c)(3) status. In the organization’s first two years\, 2\,000+ blankets were donated to the five recipient shelters through the help of private and corporate sector donations. \nIn 2016\, Chef Tim’s Take the Chill-Off event grew BOH’s mission further. For every delicious bowl of chili made by Chef Tim Twiford (Executive Chef and Director of Foodservice for Redner’s Markets) sold for $5\, a blanket was ordered for someone in need. The first year saw enough raised for 1\,100 blankets. In 2017\, that number was up to 1\,450. DESCRIPTION:It’s Back!\nOn the Mountain\, back-to-school means back to Bible Study with Miss Gail  leading. The new study entitled WORSHIP TODAY begins September 6th at 7:00 p.m.. Miss Gail thinks that it  will take four weeks to examine all the material she gathered though her summer of preparation. Perhaps we should set aside six weeks for the first study. What do you think? \nWe suspended the Tuesday evening Bible Study for the summer to make room for the other great summer activities on the Mountain. (Wasn’t the Miracle Tent Meeting fabulous?) The break makes getting back to studying  the Bible all the more sweet! DESCRIPTION:Join Laurel Mountain Ministries for its first Movie on the Mountain on September 3\, 2022. beginning at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to both the public and the faith community. \nMovie on the Mountian is a fun outdoor evening featuring a popular movie followed by a bonfire. Imagine. As the sky darkens over the Mountain\, a projector smaps to life lighting a giant outdoor theater screen. At the same time\, the speakers crackle as the movie’s soundtrack plays. For the next two hours you sit on your blanket or your lawn chair enchanted by the projected story. \nWhen the movie concludes\, you go to the pavilion for a bonfire and food. Bonfires are always the most anticipated part of the evening on the Mountain. \nThe evening is hosted by firends of the Laurel Mountain\, Carlos De Jesus and James Civil of CICOPs Ministry. \nPlease bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.

Born normal and healthy\, Charles grew up in church\, being taught how to live for God. During his teenage years he was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. As do many young people\, Charles thought he was missing out on the “good times” often made attractive by the secular world. Charles rebelled against his upbringing\, failed to stay connected to God\, and soon found himself fighting addictions and depression. He takes every opportunity to share his story about this time and is forthcoming about struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Charles found comfort in songwriting and God has blessed him with the ability to write and sing the songs created. Charles writes songs that give God the glory. He sings them with anointing because they are his testimonies; he shares them because this is what God has chosen for him to do.” \nfeaturing Warren Burke\, a/k/a Brickcity\n  \n“New and upcoming Christian Hip Hop Artist Warren Burke\, a/k/a Brickcity\, was born and raised in Norristown\, Pennsylvania. At the age of 5 he fell in love with gospel music while attending Ebenezer Baptist Church with his family. At the age of 8 Warren started singing in the choir. \nBeing influenced by other Gospel artist such as Kirk Franklin\, Tye Tribbitt\, Marvin Sapp\, and Christian rapper Bizzle\, Warren started to write Christian hip hop music. By this time in his life\,  Warren had his own story to tell through his music. \nGrowing up in the streets\, to fully turning his life over to Christ\, he became saved and married in July 2013 at Rhema Worship Center in Sanatoga\, Pennsylvania by the late Pastor Abu Bradley\, who also influenced him to keep writing his music. \nWarren performed his first song at Rhema Worship Center for Pastor Abu on Pastor appreciation day. Warren started to venture out to perform at venues in Philadelphia at the Legendary Dobbs night club for new and upcoming artists for all genres. \nHe also performed in Norristown\, Pottstown and in local churches in Pennsylvania from 2015 to 2018. He later auditioned at the Apollo in New York City\, in Harlem\, New York  and also auditioned at America’s Got Talent (AGT) in Manhattan\, New York. \nAfter releasing songs and videos on youtube\, Warren started recording his upcoming album “God On My Side”. In April of 2018 on Easter\, Warren and his family joined and are currently attending Tabernacle Harvest Church in Pottstown\, Pennsylvania\, which is led by Pastors Brian and Crystal Weatherspoon. \nIn June of 2022\, he released two singles\, “I’m A Rider” and “Identity” from his album which is being played on Spotify\, Apple Music\, YouTube\, Sound Cloud\, and all other major music platforms.” \nAfter Party Celebration – Kevin Ostromecki  \n\n\n \nKevin Ostromecki enjoys worshiping with his voice and with his instrumental talent.
