SUMMARY:Alabaster Worship Night Hosted By Kingdom Builders
DESCRIPTION:Alabaster Worship Night\nJoin Kingdom Builders of Pottstown in the Campus Chapel on April 15 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm for a time of peace-filled worship. The name\, Alabaster Worship\, derives from Luke 7:36-50. That passage tells the story of a women who came to Jesus and poured an alabaster jar of expensive oil over Jesus while kissing his feet. \nIt’s our prayer that Kingdom Builders’ nights of Alabaster Worship becomes a time when the Body of Christ comes together and pours-out itself at the feet of Jesus. And that the Body of Christ lays itself down while lifting Jesus up. Simply put\, it’s a time to give Him all we have because he is worthy. \nSo\, come as you are\, ready to meet God. Bring a bible\, journal\, art supplies\, flags\, or a blanket. We will sing praises and read Bible passages. You may listen or worship however you choose. This is your quiet space with the Lord to simply honor him. \nAbout Kingdom Builders\nKingdom Builders is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of Pottstown PA. It’s ministry strives to serve God in all it does by bringing honor to His name and connecting those around them to His saving grace. It aims to bring others into fellowship within the community by connecting different groups and churches. Its members desire to stand in the gap for the region through prayer and worship. \n \n                   April 4 – 24

Tthe initial goal was to provide social services of its own in addition to providing area residents with information and referral services to other social service agencies serving the Boyertown area. \nThe Senior Neighborhood Center of Boyertown Area Multi-Service began in February of 1975 and today is an even more part of the community. It was renamed “The Center at Spring Street” in 2004 to reflect it’s  new location. In 2022\, the Center continues to meet the changing needs of the area’s older population. \nMeals on Wheels was the first program we offered at the agency. With eight volunteers\, Multi-Service began delivering hot meals to the homebound elderly. Today\, the more than 150 volunteers over 100 mile every day to deliver more than 13\,000 meals annually. \nA community food pantry program soon followed. Designed to assist those experiencing financial difficulties\, the Multi-Service pantry is operationed daily by appointment. Donations to the food pantry come from churches\, service organizations\, schools\, Girl/Boy Scout troops\, local food markets\, the U.S. Postal Service\, and individual community members. Every item donated locally is distributed to local residents. \nhttps://www.boyertownareamulti-service.org/uploads/b/59992961-273819283832750120/helping_people_strengthening_communities__original__373.mp4\nMulti-Service aims to make sure no one goes hungry. And the number continues to grow by this day. \nBlankets of Hope\, Inc. (BOH) was founded by Marc Goldstein in December of 2011 upon reading an article in the local newspaper citing the level of poverty in the City of Reading\, and also an uplifting piece on a Secret Santa gifting money to those less fortunate. The third puzzle piece came when one of Goldstein’s customers bought a blanket as an employee holiday gift. The three triggers were food for thought: how could Goldstein\, as a small business owner at that time\, help the community? \nAfter reaching out to various Berks agencies\, Goldstein connected with Sharon Parker of the Berks Coalition to End Homelessness. From there\, Parker linked him to five Berks shelters\, the originating recipients of Blankets of Hope: Opportunity House\, Hope Rescue Mission\, Mary’s Shelter\, YMCA of Reading & Berks County and Berks Counseling Center. \nIn January of 2012\, BOH became a nonprofit corporation & in 2014\, BOH received its 501(c)(3) status. In the organization’s first two years\, 2\,000+ blankets were donated to the five recipient shelters through the help of private and corporate sector donations. \nIn 2016\, Chef Tim’s Take the Chill-Off event grew BOH’s mission further. For every delicious bowl of chili made by Chef Tim Twiford (Executive Chef and Director of Foodservice for Redner’s Markets) sold for $5\, a blanket was ordered for someone in need. The first year saw enough raised for 1\,100 blankets. In 2017\, that number was up to 1\,450. Most recently\, 2019 saw 2.5 tons of chili cooked up for the 4th annual event\, netting more than $22\,000 used to purchase blankets\, and towards Blanket of Hope’s newest effort\, its bed program\, which kicked off in July of 2019 with the help of Fecera’s Furniture. \nTo learn more about Blankets of Hope\, CLICK HERE. \nThe Boyertown YMCA\nThe Boyertown YMCA brings help with child care assistance\, financial assiantance\, and membership information to Holiday HOPE for Families. Plus\, they will sponsor a drawing for a FREE THREE MONTH MEMBERSHIP where the winner can take advantage of the Y’s healthy lifestyle programs. \n \nConnecting you to a healthier life. \nThe Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development\, healthy living\, and social responsibility. Throughout the Greater Philadelphia region\, we serve more than 180\,000 members and 240\,000 individuals a year- regardless of age\, income\, or background. \nOur mission is all about connecting people to healthier lives – in mind\, body\, and spirit. While our programs and facilities are always based on the unique needs and interests of our communities\, every Y has one thing in common: our people. The volunteers\, staff\, members\, and donors of the Y are all united by a deep commitment to building stronger communities and being a place where all are welcome. \nThe Y is a non-profit. \nAs a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization\, the Y provides crucial programs and services to more than 250\,000 people every year. With the help of generous donors\, we are able to provide more than $6 million in financial assistance enabling members of our community to get healthy and provide safe\, trusted care for their children. \n \nHow the Y got its start. \nThe YMCA was founded in 1844 by 22-year-old George Williams to serve the young men who were flooding into industrial London looking for work. The idea found a home in the U.S. seven years later at the Old South Church in Boston. \nOver the following decades\, the Y spread around the world\, becoming the birthplace of basketball and home to the world’s first group swimming lessons. The Y sent volunteers to do relief work during and after both world wars. The Y proudly served as a safe meeting space for the organizers of the Civil Rights Movement. The last 170+ years have seen the Y’s mission grow exponentially\, and today the Y engages more than 10\,000 communities across the U.S. \nThese are the values that define the Y. \nTo learn more abour The Boyertown YMCA\, CLICK HERE. \nFree Thanksgiving Dinner Raffle Baskets\nWhile wandering the Mountain\, stop at the FreeThanksgiving Dinner Raffle Baskets station. Sit around the fire while drinking hot chocolate served by the Salvation Army and roast some marshmallows on a stick. How better to enjoy time with your family on a late Autumn day? \n \nHoliday Music\nLive and recorded Holiday music will fill the mountain air helping you and your family prepare for the spirit of the Season. \nPrayer in the Campus Chapel\nPastor Kerry Kuhns will be available to chat and pray with you during the event in the Campus Chapel. Miss Gail thinks that it  will take four weeks to examine all the material she gathered though her summer of preparation. Perhaps we should set aside six weeks for the first study. What do you think? \nWe suspended the Tuesday evening Bible Study for the summer to make room for the other great summer activities on the Mountain. (Wasn’t the Miracle Tent Meeting fabulous?) The break makes getting back to studying  the Bible all the more sweet! MIss Gail looks forward to seeing you Tuesday nights at 7:00 in the Campus Meeting Room. \nGail (Miss Gail) Johnson is a graduated The Universtiy of Valley Forge (formerly Valley Forge Christian College) with a degree in Bibe. Her experience as a youth worker\, shared pastoring\, and shared Youth Camp DIrectorship with her husband Dave equiped her to present a study that informs\, inspires\, and is directed towards changing lives.
